October: Faith In Action
There is a lot happening at PGBC Children's this October, but behind every theme night, special event, game and piece of candy is something much bigger.. another opportunity to point children to Jesus.
This month, our kids will have opportunities to learn God's Word, serve our community, invite their friends, and simply enjoy being together. From packing the panty at AWANA to costume night and Trunk or Treat, we want our children to see that faith isn't something we only talk about on Sundays and Wednesdays. It's something we live out.
We are thankful for every child who walks through our doors, every family who trusts us with them, and every volunteer who shows up week after week to love, teach, encourage, and serve.
Our prayer is that in the middle of all the fun October brings, our kids continue growing deeper roots in Christ. Learning His Word, loving others well, and discovering what it looks like to follow Jesus in everyday life.

PGBC Kids
Welcome to PGBC Kids. A place where children can discover, grow, and thrive in their faith. We are passionate about providing a safe, fun and Christ centered environment where kids feel loved and excited to learn about Jesus.
At PGBC Kids, we believe every child is uniquely created by God and has a purpose. That is why we create age appropriate spaces filled with joy, connection, and truth. So kids can explore their faith, grow in God's Word and learn how to live it out every day.
We offer a variety of programs including:

Special Events & Outreach opportunities
We believe parents play the most important role in shaping their child's faith, and we are here to support and encourage you on that journey.

What to Expect on Sunday Mornings
Sunday Morning at PGBC Kids
At PGBC, we love welcoming families and helping kids grow in their faith in a safe and engaging environment.
We offer age appropriate classes during both the 9:15 AM Sunday School hour and the 10:30 AM Worship Service.
On 5th Sundays, children join their families in the 10:30 service as we gather together for Family Sunday. There are no 9:15 children's classes on those Sundays.
Sunday mornings are designed to be fun, meaningful, and centered on Jesus. Through Bible lessons, games, crafts, and friendships, every child is encouraged to grow and feel right at home.

AWANA is BACK!!
AWANA is one of our biggest discipleship ministries for children during the school year. Each Wednesday night, kids spend time learning God's Word, playing games, and growing in their understanding of what it means to follow Jesus.

Pack the Pantry Mission Night- Oct 7
We're kicking off October by putting our faith into action! AWANA families are invited to help us Pack the Pantry by bringing canned goods to help meet the needs right here in our own community.
The AWANA Store opens- Oct 14
They've been earning those point, now it's time to spend them!
The AWANA store gives our kiddos a chance to use the points they've been earning through participation, scripture memorization, bringing their Bibles and books, and all the work they have been putting into this year. It is always a fun night and we love getting to celebrate their hard work along the way.
AWANA week 7- Oct 21
7 Weeks in and we are just getting started.
By week 7 AWANA is starting to feel less like a new year and more like a rhythm. Kids are learning verses, moving through books , building friendships , and growing more comfortable opening God's Word for themselves. That is the part we love watching!
Costume Night- Oct. 28
Who We are in Christ!
Costume Night is one of those AWANA nights our kids look forward to every year. Costumes can change who we look like for a night, but they do not change who God says we are. Throughout the evening, we'll remind our kids that in Christ they are loved, chosen, forgiven, known, and created with purpose. Our hope is that they leave with more than candy and a fun memory and that they know the truth of who Jesus says they are.

PGBC Trunk Or Treat- Oct 31
October ends with one BIG afternoon together!
Join us for PGBC Trunk or Treat , bring the kids, invite your friends and neighbors, and come spend the afternoon with us.
We will have candy, games, pumpkin painting, hot dogs, train rides, face painting, cake walk, bounce houses, balloon artists and more!
This is a community event, so don't keep it to yourselves... INVITE SOMEBODY!
AWANA at PGBC
What is Awana?
AWANA is a midweek discipleship program where children learn Scripture, play games, and grow in their faith through small group time and Bible lessons. Each Wednesday night, kids discover that knowing and following Jesus is the greatest adventure!
What age groups do have?
AWANA clubs are divided by age and grade so kids can grow in their faith through scripture memorization, Bible lessons, and games, all in a way that fits them best:
- Cubbies- Ages 3-4 (must be potty trained) Preschoolers discover foundational truths about God's love through story time, music, crafts, and games.
- Sparks- Kinder -2nd grade. Learning Bible truths and growing in confidence to share their faith.
- T&T (Truth & Training) 3rd-5th grade. Developing a personal relationship with Jesus through Scripture and discipleship.
Each group is designed to help children grow in God's Word, build friendships, and have fun.
AWANA Calendar
AWANA runs weekly on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 PM during the school year. Special theme nights, mission projects, and fun events happen all year long!
